GASTONIA CHRISTMAS PARADE - THIS SUNDAY, December 2, 2007:

Drop-off time and location:  Our floats will be lined up prior to the beginning of the parade on Franklin Blvd in the Old Sears Building Parking lot.  You should bring your child to our float at 1:15 pm.  You MUST be present by 1:45 pm.  The parade starts at 2:00 and will travel down Franklin Blvd.  One parent per Pre-school dancer is welcome to ride or walk with us through the parade, or once you have dropped your children off at our float, you can watch the parade and then pick them up at the end.

Pick-up location:  At the end of the parade, PARENTS MUST PICK UP THEIR CHILDREN AT THE END OF THE PARADE ROUTE IN THE BLOCK BETWEEN THE INTERSECTION OF FRANKLIN BLVD. & BELVEDERE ST.  AND THE INTERSECTION OF FRANKLIN BLVD. & THOMNAS ST.  PLEASE LET US KNOW IF SOMEONE OTHER THAN A PARENT WILL BE PICKING UP A STUDENT.

**NOTE ? WE ARE FORCED TO IMMEDIATELY EXIT THE FLOAT ONCE WE PASS THE INTERSECTION OF FRANKLIN BLVD. AND BELVEDERE STREET AND PULL TO A STOP (WE WILL COME TO A STOP SOMEWHERE IN THE BLOCK BETWEEN BELVEDERE ST. AND THOMAS ST.); THEREFORE IT IS IMPERATIVE THAT EACH DANCER HAVE SOMEONE THERE WAITING TO PICK THEM UP WHEN THE FLOAT REACHES THAT POINT IN THE PARADE ROUTE!!!**  Note ? we have requested for our parade entry to be toward the beginning of the parade line-up.

What to wear:  Dancers should wear their Perfect Step sweatsuits or windsuits in the parade, or any other purple or black attire.  Please make sure dancers are dressed according to the weather ? they may need to layer clothing and wear a turtleneck underneath.  Also bring gloves to keep hands warm (we ask that the dancers in the Petite, Jr. and Teen classes and ALL competition team dancers please wear WHITE gloves).  Please bring your own Santa hat if you would like to wear one in the parade or dancers can wear hairbows that were ordered with windsuits.

Pickup of Sweatsuits & Windsuits:

For those of you who ordered sweatsuits, windsuits and hairbows, please pick them up this week at the front desk.

Other details:  Parents, please make sure your children have used the restroom prior to lining up at the parade.  Also, for the little ones, it may be a good idea to have them wear pull-ups, as we will NOT have access to a bathroom during the parade and it will be a long afternoon.

Questions?  If you have questions prior to or on the day of the parade, call 704-747-5757 or 704-634-3971.
