Important Upcoming Dates:

Costume Balances Due

We are now collecting costume balances for your child’s recital costumes.  Please make all remaining costume payments during the month of February.  We have ordered all of the costumes and they will arrive throughout February, March and April.  As soon as the costumes arrive, we will begin distributing them.  You can see a picture of your child’s costume on the Recital Costume Posters at The Perfect Step.  Please note that the costumes must be paid in full before we can give them out to each child. Thank you for your cooperation!

 

Upcoming Dance Recital

The Perfect Step’s annual dance recital will be at Gaston College on Saturday, May 17 (2:00pm show time for pre-school recital, 5:30pm show time for the solo showcase and 6:30pm show time for youth recital).  The youth recital rehearsal will be Friday, May 16 at 5:00pm, at Gaston College.  The pre-school recital rehearsal will be on Saturday, May 17 at 10:00am.  To determine if your child’s class is performing in the Pre-School Recital or the Youth Recital, please see the costume posters for each recital posted at The Perfect Step.  Please spread the word to your family and friends so that they will mark this date!

 

Parent Observation Week

Parents will be allowed to observe their child’s dance classes on the week of March 31-April 3.  Please mark your calendars to be present for this exciting week!

 

Spring Break

The Perfect Step will be closed on Monday, April 7 through Friday, April 11, 2008 for Spring Break.  Classes will resume on Monday, April 14, 2008.  We hope you have a safe and happy break!

Thursday Dance Class Make-up Schedule:

Due to inclement weather, The Perfect Step was closed on Thursday, January 10.  In order to make-up for the cancelled classes, we will have make-up classes on Saturday morning, March 29 from 9:00am-12:30pm.  We will hand out a specific time schedule for the make-up classes closer to the date.

 

INCLEMENT WEATHER POLICY

When winter weather arises, The Perfect Step follows the Gaston County Public Schools inclement weather policy.  If Gaston County Schools are closed due to the weather or if they close early, then classes are cancelled that day at The Perfect Step.  However, if Gaston County Schools are only running on a morning delay, then The Perfect Step IS still open for afternoon and evening classes.  If you ever have a question about whether or not the studio is closed due to the weather, call the studio at 704-868-4585 and listen to the recording. 

 

UPCOMING SUMMER EVENTS

As you begin to plan for Summer 2008, keep in mind the following tentative dates for our exciting summer camps here at The Perfect Step.  More detailed info will follow:

-          July 14-18 – Princess Camp (ages 4-6)

-          July 14-18 – Jazz /Lyrical/Ballet Intensive Camp (ages 6-18)

-          July 21-25 – Princess Camp (ages 4-6)

-          July 21-25 - Hannah Montana Pop Star Boot Camp (ages 6-12)

-          August 4-9 – Dance Camp (ages 6-18)!

-          August 16th – Competition Team Auditions
