Gastonia Christmas Parade - December 2nd!
The Perfect Step will be
participating in the annual Gastonia Christmas Parade. This is
scheduled for Sunday, December 2, 2007. The parade begins at 2:00pm
and students are asked to arrive at the line-up site around 12:30pm.
We will have two floats in the parade this year for our younger
participants to ride on during the parade. Our older dancers (Petite
dance classes and older) will dance and walk along the parade route.
We will provide more specific details to you regarding the lineup of the
parade closer to the parade date. Please note, for our pre-school age
dancers we will allow one parent to accompany each child on the float.
Also,
our students are asked to wear either their
Perfect Step windsuits, sweatshirts, any black or
purple attire (our studio colors) or any type of holiday sweatshirt.
Students should bring their own Santa hat to wear during the parade.

Last Chance to Order Logo Apparel
for Parade!
The Perfect Step will be taking orders for windsuits
& sweatshirts for our students and parents. We encourage our
students to wear these during the Christmas parade, although it is not
required. The order forms are available at The Perfect Step front
desk. The FINAL day to place your orders to
guarantee arrival in time for the Christmas Parade is Thursday, November
8! However, we ask that you submit your orders as soon as possible.

Belly Dance Basics
On Tuesday, November 27th, we will begin a course in
Belly Dane Basics, taught by Pamela Sweezy.
During this four week course, students will learn a moving mediation, 4
finger cymbal patterns and over 40 basic belly dance techniques and
combinations. No previous dance experience is required for this class. This
class is appropriate for the beginning dancer who is interested in learning
more about the art of "Raks Sharqi" or for a seasoned dancer who wishes to
improve and drill their basic technique. The cost of the class is $44.00 for the
entire 4-week session or you can pay by-the-class a cost of $15.00 per

The Perfect Step is Closed for the Holidays
The Perfect Step will be
closed on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, November 22-24 for Thanksgiving.
The Perfect Step will be closed on Monday, December 24 through Tuesday,
January 1, 2008 for the Holidays. Classes will resume on Wednesday,
January 2, 2008. We hope you have a safe and happy holiday
season. The Perfect Step will also be closed Monday, January 21
through Thursday, January 24, 2008 due to Gaston County public schools
holiday/teacher workdays.

Congratulations, November Dancers of the Month!!
Our teachers have chosen 4
students to recognize as our November Dancers of the Month!
These students will receive a Certificate of Achievement, as well as a
Congratulations signs to put in their yard during the month. We will
also post their picture in the lobby and on a congratulations page on our

Recital Fee/Costume Deposit
In November we will collect a
costume deposit of $30.00 per costume. We appreciate your prompt
attention to this matter. Costume Balances will be due in February,
2008.
If
you have not yet paid your Recital Fee of $30.00 (it was due in October),
please do so as soon as possible. We will add a late fee for unpaid
Recital Fees on November 15. Thank you!
